Microchip SoC Products Group is looking for a talented, passionate and creative individual to join our new product development team. You will help create methodologies to define and support characterization of the next generation FPGA and SoC products. Development of methodologies for silicon validation and characterization Characterization of a wide range of IP including Digital High speed Serial peripherals and memory interfaces, PLL, DSP, FPGAs and embedded processors Firmware development for SOC characterization Verification of Microchip SOC timing and Power analysis tools Correlation of pre-silicon results with silicon measurements Characterization planning, specification and documentation Job Requirements BS/MS/PhD EE or equivalent 4
years of experience in product characterization with emphasis FPGAs 3
years of experience working in a laboratory environment, hands-on experience with using lab equipment such as logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, scopes, function generators, compliance testing 3
years of experience with automated characterization flows to maximize use of equipment 3
years of experience with FPGAs design development and flows Working knowledge of at least 1 of the following languages:
Java, Visual Basic, C/C+
Fluent in Verilog or VHDL Solid functional and technical skills Strong analytical, problem-solving and debug skills Excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills Must have strong self learning ability, leadership, and enjoy working in teams Initiative, self-motivated, self-confident, self-driven, self-learning, always striving for excellence, Commitment Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with ATE testing for IO DC parametric and timing characterization is a strong advantage Knowledge of JTAG protocol highly desirable Experience with Programming/software in C/C+
& Firmware Development:
8051 and ARM is desirable Working knowledge of SOC Architectures is a plus Analog and mixed signal circuit design. Working experience with analog and/or digital systems is an advantage Knowledge of FPGA design synthesis and routing associated with Microchip (Libero), Xilinx (Vivado), or Altera (Quartus) tools Working knowledge of FPGA design flows with a focus on timing and power analysis tools Working knowledge of ASIC and/or FPGA design flow, VHDL or Verilog Experience in PCB design and understanding of signal integrity issues #LI-MD1 #ZR
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
