Team Intro The SAMI team's mission is to empower content interaction and creation across ByteDance products using speech & audio related technologies.
We focus on cutting-edge R&D in areas like speech & audio, music processing, natural language understanding and multimodal deep learning.
We are looking for top talents to work on these exciting technologies, integrate them into various ByteDance products and ultimately bring joy to our global user base! Responsibilities As a Tech Lead, Backend Software Engineering on our SAMI team, you are expected to:
Lead and inspire a team of experienced software engineers to work with cross-functional engineering & product teams solving complex technical challenges in speech, audio & multimodal processing.
Provide technical leadership, drive projects and define long-term technical roadmaps, including business strategy, technology development, as well as team planning and management.
Own features or components essential to the Speech, Audio and Music team.
Lead the design and development process and be responsible for delivering features into products.
Provide team guidance, education, coaching and mentoring.
Qualifications Qualifications BS/MS Degree in computer science and engineering with 8
years of software development experience.
Good understanding of software architecture and experience in building, scaling and managing consumer-facing applications.
Proficient in Golang/C++/Python/Java and deep software engineering knowledge.
Strong background in large-scale service and/or mobile application development.
Understanding of basic deep learning algorithms.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-functional environment.
The following experiences are a plus:
Experience in large-scale machine learning backend.
Experience dealing with concurrent systems and architectures.
Experience in AI model deployment optimization.
Experience in full stack development, e.

Job Information The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $210000 - $358000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
