Maintenance Tech for Homeless Housing (Former Hotel turned Apartments)
Quick Apply Full-time Full Job Description We are looking for a Full Time Apartment Maintenance Technician for a 55-unit Senior Homeless community (former hotel conversion to permanent housing) in San Jose.
The Maintenance Tech will report to the current Maintenance Manager and Area Supervisor.
We are looking for applicants with the following skills:
Apartment Maintenance Experience Experience Turning Vacant Units Appliance Repair Experience Plumbing and Electrical repair experience Ability to Work as a Team and Meet Deadlines Ability to Follow Company Policies and Procedures Ability to Communicate Problems and Offer Solutions Ability to set priorities and complete assigned tasks Ability to be Empathetic and Understanding with Residents Experience with 3rd party Agency Inspections:
Housing Authority (SHRA), etc.
Daily Duties & Responsibilities Include:
Completing Work Orders Efficiently Maintaining the Property Curb Appeal Turning Vacant Units per procedure Appliance, Electrical and Plumbing Repairs Drywall & Painting Repairs Conducting Unit Inspections Working as a Team with the Rental Manager Preparing and Completing Property & Unit Inspections Offering Excellent Customer Service Follow all company policies & procedures, fair housing laws, etc.
Respond to After-Hours maintenance emergencies Other duties assigned by the Supervisor Compensation Details:
Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8:
00 AM - 5:
00 PM Pay Range = $22.
00 to $24.
00 per hour, based on experience Health Benefits with a minimal employee contribution - The Company pays 92% of the Employee-only premium and the employee is responsible for 8% of the cost of their monthly premium.
Paid Personal Time Off including Sick Time - Employees in their 1st-4th years with Domus accrue up to 20 total days off for PTO.
