Minimum Qualifications Be at least 18 years of age (Required) A valid, unexpired BSIS guard card before the first day of work (Required) A valid, unexpired driver's license before the first day of work Must have excellent communication skills in English Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience (Preferred) Job requirements Secure premises and personnel by inspecting access points and performing interior and exterior foot/mobile patrols regularly and/or randomly within the property perimeter Document checkpoints and monitor occurrences by completing detailed and accurate reports through Silvertrac Recall specific events and unusual occurrences accurately and efficiently Preserve order, protect the company's property, and respond to emergencies while enforcing law regulations and directives pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area Provide customer service and information to a client's employees and customers Follow post orders and establish a presence set by clients and property management Successfully apply de-escalation techniques and practices by reacting appropriately and professionally in stressful situations Operate a hand-held radio, smartphone, computer for checking surveillance cameras and/or other communication devices as needed Report to and communicate with team, supervisors, and management via phone and email daily Detect, deter, observe, and report Preferred Skills Excellent verbal communication skills Excellent report writing skills Excellent computer/tech-savvy skills Surveillance and reporting skills Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety Time and safety management skills Customer service Professionalism Attention to detail Ability to solve problems as they arise Ability to work alone or as part of a team Ability to be dependable and punctual Ability to have a flexible schedule (additional shifts, weekends, and holidays based on business needs) to perform shifts Compensation and Benefits Starting hourly pay of $18-$19, negotiable based on prior experience Semi-monthly pay PTO Medical benefits Dental benefits In-service training and workshops for career development Company uniform Opportunities for promotion within the company Schedule 8-hour shift Grave shift Weekend availability On-call Overtime Work Location Multiple locations in San Jose Interview Reschedule Policy Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to reschedule your interview.
