Skipti Delivery Driver
Skipti Skipti San Jose, CA San Jose, CA Contract Contract $30 - $60 an hour $30 - $60 an hour Skipti is a software company that powers and manages delivery and pickup of rental items for several different equipment companies nationwide.
This contract (1099) position requires a driver to deliver a demo and return the item back after the demo period using their own insured vehicle.
Professionalism and a service orientation are key requirements for this role.
Excellent customer service, time management and communication skills are a must.
Our drivers are our brand ambassadors and we take our brand seriously, we will count on you to reinforce trust with the customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES Pick up and load equipment from our location and return after demo has been completed Drive items to local customer locations, unload items and interact with customers Accurately obtain required signatures and photos on rental contracts Complete proper check-in and check-out procedures at equipment location Learn and use app to manage inventory and routes Efficiently interact with customer service staff Preform basic inspection and maintenance at the end of the demonstration KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIREMENTS Current driver's license Demo item will fit in a sedan Insured vehicle Ability to function in outdoor environment during all seasons Knowledge of the area and shortest routes to destinations Ability to properly load and tie down equipment for safe hauling and transport Maintain a professional image and a positive company image Ability to communicate effectively with managers, co-workers and customers Must remain available and close to the store within work hours Current mailing address Proof of insurance Reliable vehicle 1997 or newer Ability to lift 45 lbs without accommodation Smartphone Android or iPhone iOS Ability to communicate via text and phone Availability for entire scheduled shift including some holidays and weekends Time management skills Follows company policies including safety practices Maintain safe driving environment including PPE( Personal Protection Equipment ) Masks where required Must be eighteen years of age or older with a minimum of 3 years driving experience and legally permitted to work in the United States.
Minimum Qualifications The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED Additional Qualifications Safe driving record and acceptable motor vehicle report (MVR) Preferred Qualifications Strong customer service mindset, including having worked in an industry or company that provides customer facing experience Adept at using handheld mobile application technology in order to properly document work performed Job Type:
