On an average day, DSPs support people to build relationships, live safely in their own homes, and accomplish their greater personal, educational, and career goals.
Unlike a caretaker, DSPs Do with, not for the person they support.
Ultimately, your goal is to empower people to live independently so they can live happier, more fulfilled lives.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the service manager, provide one-to-one direct support services to individuals with Autism and intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to help them achieve their highest possible level of independence.
Provide the necessary accommodations to support an individual with various challenges (behavioral, physical, communication, etc.
) within their home ad community.
Implement the Individual's Support Plan (ISP) as developed Act as a mentor and role model for socially acceptable and culturally valued ways to interact and support each other to be successful.
Assist and support the person to maintain their own personal safety and well-being Support the individual to establish a daily/weekly schedule of activities in order to maximize their independence.
Assist individuals in maintaining their physical well-being through daily grooming and exercise programs.
Participate hands-on in activities.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Avalid driver's license, reliable transportation & current auto insurance (may be preferred but not required) Experience working with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities (personal or professional) preferred but not required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
