Responsibilities:
Responsible for overseeing, developing, coordinating, planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activities within the nursing program.
Collaborates with the Administrative Nursing Director and Chief Academic Officer on program initiatives and special projects.
Job Duties:
Strategizes, creates, manages, revises, and assesses all program aspects Gathers data and prepares written materials for state and Nursing Board requirements, reports, proposals, surveys, self-studies, and site visits Ensures compliance with BVNPT regulations pertaining to the program, including accurate reporting of faculty terminations within ten (10) days Assists in securing external resources for the nursing program Develops and implements program policies and procedures Takes part in committees and contributes to their organization Supervises admission process and orientation procedures Acts as a liaison between the college and the community Establishes and maintains educational partnerships with clinical sites Conducts thorough evaluations of clinical sites to assess their suitability for practical experience and ensure student safety Collects evaluations from students, clinical site representatives, and faculty after each clinical rotation and presents summary report to the Chief Executive Officer/Administrative Director of Nursing Programs Maintains and updates clinical contracts Contributes to nursing faculty recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes Facilitates regular nursing faculty meetings and ensures accurate documentation of discussions Assigns and schedules faculty for courses and clinical placements Monitors instruction quality and participates in faculty and program evaluations and strategic planning Advises, supports, and assists potential students in their decision-making process Ensures proper orientation of students to nursing skills lab and clinical facilities before they begin clinical rotations Participates in planning and reviewing the recruitment and admission of qualified nursing students Ensures completion of necessary documentation and fulfillment of graduation and licensing exam requirements by all students Contributes to the planning and execution of Nursing Advisory Committee meetings Engages in professional development and maintains continuing education hours Stays up-to-date on State rules and regulations related to Vocational Nursing practicesQualificationsA master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university, with coursework in nursing, education, or administrationAt least three (3) years of experience in a leadership role within a nursing programMinimum of three (3) years of full-time faculty experience in a pre- or post-licensure nursing programAt least one (1) year of teaching experience in an online learning environmentMinimum of four (4) years of continuous full-time registered nursing experience, providing direct patient care in geriatrics, medical-surgical, mental health psychiatric nursing, obstetrics, or pediatrics within the past five (5) yearsValid and active license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN)Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skillsAction-oriented, innovative thinking, and adaptableProficiency in Microsoft OfficeAbility to prioritize, multitask, and work effectively in deadline-driven environments.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
