Senior Power Electronics Simulation Engineer
Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility.
We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 100 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

What you'll do:
Responsible to lead the modeling / simulation effort characterizing size, weight, performance, and cost of DC/DC and DC/AC power electronic convertersDevelop and maintain documentation on our simulation processesDevelop and maintain models in matlab / simulink to support trade study analyses and key performance metricsProvide cost & duration estimates for performing simulation tasksPrepare computing infrastructure analysis, budget needs, implementation, and maintenanceSummarize and communicate results to the key stakeholdersWork closely with a cross-functional team consisting of electrical, mechanical, and project managementWhat you need:
BS Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Science Engineering with 10
years or MS with 6
years of experience in related fieldsKnowledge of tools and modeling techniques of power electronic modules / components, from a size, weight, performance, and cost perspectiveExperience developing and maintaining models in matlab / simulinkAbility to estimate model development duration and prioritize the development of multiple modelsAbility to summarize modeling results into plots / comparisons to support the down selection of topologies and componentsExcellent organizational and communication skillsBonus
Qualifications:

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company's business strategy.
For this position we are targeting a base pay between $134,400 - $168,000.
Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
