Accounts Receivable Accountant

The Accounts Receivable Department includes the full quote to cash responsibilities including the creation of sales orders from quotes imported from our CRM system to billing and collections. The department is split between US and South Africa along with some outsourced accountants in other countries. The Accounts Receivable Specialist position in our San Jose corporate offices is primarily responsible for billing, collections and customer relations. This position reports to the Accounts Receivable Manager, working closely with sales, operations and external customers.
Responsibilities
Create and maintain customer records in NetSuite
Create invoices from fully fulfilled Sales Orders upon completion of stores deployment
Review accuracy of revenue recognition schedule created from Sales Order
Send invoice to customer or submit via customer portal
Issue credit memos
Send monthly account statement to customer
Investigate and resolve customer inquiries
Collections for worldwide sales, escalate as needed
Analyze billings to quotes
Back up to South Africa office to create Sales Orders:
Validate items, pricing, bill to address, ship to address, etc.
Obtain PO from customers, if required
Resolve discrepancies between customer's PO and Master Purchase Agreement
Resolve discrepancies between Sales order and Quote
Resolve discrepancies in fulfillment
Review accuracy of revenue recognition schedule created from Sales Order
Suggest and assist in Implementation of improved processes and procedures
Perform Ad-hoc projects
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years Order to Cash experience
Highly effective verbal and written communication
Ability to investigate and resolve issues
Ability to work in a high pace/high volume of work
Ability to multi-task
Detail oriented
NetSuite experience a plus

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
