Director Strategic Marketing, Wireless Infrastructure

We are looking to hire Director of Strategic and Technical marketing for Wireless Infrastructure market. Focus applications include LTE -A, pre-5G and 5G base stations, radio, small cells, DAS, mmwave / microwave backhaul and fronthaul applications.
Successful candidate will enable Microsemi revenue growth in this market by winning major platforms with existing products and by guiding Microsemi product lines to align our roadmap for future success in this market.
Specific responsibilities include:
Identify opportunities and develop strategies to grow Microsemi revenue in wireless infrastructure market.
Create technical & business value proposition, develop customer presentations with technical depth, develop white papers and other collaterals that best position Microsemi to win key wireless platforms at tier 1 customers
Develop and lead engagements with key architects and engineers at tier 1 wireless infrastructure customers to win top platforms for existing Microsemi products and to align Microsemi roadmap for strong success with these platforms
Train sales and FAE team on specific applications and enable broader success in target applications
Engage with sales and product lines to support tier 1 customer opportunities in achieving design-wins that foster growth
Provide roadmap inputs to the product lines by articulating application requirements, product feature sets, and eco-system and partner requirements
Build business case, articulate business trade-offs and demonstrate return over investment for new technology and new product proposals
Develop and nurture partnerships with key industry players including solution, silicon, software and system vendors that convert into business growth for Microsemi & partners in wireless infrastructure applications.
Measures of success
Business development: Tier 1 customer engagements, Design in and design win goals
Go to market deliverables: Customer facing collateral, sales training, promotion in industry forums
Strategic: Successfully influence internal product and technology development, key customers and third party partners to boost Microsemi success
Expertise / insight required
Understanding of LTE / LTE-A, 5G, mm wave and microwave radio and modem architectures and implementation requirements in silicon components .e.g. FPGA, ASIC, Ethernet Switch and phy etc.
Key protocols and interfaces in wireless infrastructure including LTE, IPSEC, CPRI, Ethernet, JESD etc.
Timing and synchronization of wireless network including IEEE1588, PTP, GPS etc. and how they are applied at system and network level
BSEE or higher education with a minimum of 10 years' experience in communication equipment or semiconductor company with significant exposure to wireless infrastructure applications / market. MBA from premier institution a plus
Minimum two years' experience as design engineer, application engineer or architect in communication equipment or semiconductor company
Demonstrated capability to understand complex technical aspects and transform into appropriate messages for different audiences including engineering, marketing, sales and management
Proven ability to engage with customers at architecture level and drive engagement till successful result
Experienced in engaging with customers and partners from various geographic regions and culture
