GardaWorld Security Services is looking for Security Officers to fulfill different assignments for our clients.
JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Responsibilities specific to this client site include, but are not limited to:
A loss prevention officer protects retail businesses by preventing theft.
Typical job duties include but not limited to the following:
Monitoring public areas for potential threats.
Identifying potential external theft.
Maintaining the 5 steps policy.
Maintaining constant visual on all suspected shoplifters who have satisfied the 5steps requirement.
Must see the approach and selection.
Must see concealment, where it is concealed, what it is concealed in etc.
Or they can have it in plain view.
Must maintain visual on the subject and where the merchandise is at all times.
Must see that they did not pay Failure To Pay for the items you saw them select and conceal.
They passed all opened and manned registers.
Must see them exit out of the store with the unpaid for merchandise.
Monitoring displays which can provide additional opportunities to steal merchandise.
Documenting theft and other security issues by turning in reports to dispatch when it happens.
Getting a case number for all reports.
Pic of subject, merchandise, and voided receipt.
Working with law enforcement to arrest and prosecute suspected shoplifters.
Walking the sales floor actively looking for shoplifting activities.
Communicate with dispatch any incident/accident while on dutyCommunicate to store mgmt.
when a shoplifter is in custody.
Reporting to work on time.
Clocking in correctly.

Legally authorized to work in the United StatesAt least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirementsDemonstrate a stable work historyA valid California BSIS Guard Card 40 hours of BSIS training completion is preferredPass an extensive background screening which includes, but is not limited to, criminal background checks (local, state, and federal), drug test, aptitude tests, skills assessment, interviews, and personality profile (behavioral assessment) EducationCandidates must meet the following educational requirements:
Possess at least a high school education or equivalent (GED).
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
