Job Description

The Senior Manager, Lean System Programs is accountable to lead support and/or initiate strategic process improvements programs in conjunction with the Site Executive Directors and various Value Stream Managers of multi functional areas towards process improvement. This position will be responsible for leading large complex programs both in North Amercia and potentially Global with significant change impact across organizational boundaries and across multiple sites. Tools to be used will include but are not limited to Value Stream Mapping (VSM) Kaizen and other lean manufacturing techniques through the disciplined use of identification analysis and measurement.

Job Duties

Lead/Coach/Mentor site Lean Steering teams located in OSTA as well as OCA as needed with a projection toward providing global support of Lean
System Programs Process Excellence.

Partner with management team to optimize operations processes and ensure linkage to company productivity and financial goals are met.

Maintain responsibility to bring system expertise in support of multi- functional efforts towards process improvement data capture and analysis infrastructure support process ownership and required compliance to procedures.

Communicate with and advise the Site Executive Director and Value Stream Managers on GOLS (Global Olympus Lean System) strategic direction.

Will lead multiple value stream program efforts from beginning to adoption.

This position along with other experts will promote innovation in methods techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

This includes monitoring the project multi-level communications and the collaborative preparation and presentation operational suggestions results and metrics.

Using Lean methodology and tools to promote and nurture the highest standards of teamwork and cooperation in order to implement key strategic processes and program.

Maintain responsibility to effectively lead mentor and develop others in specialized skills techniques related to Continuous Improvement.

Will communicate with manufacturers suppliers and distributors and required.

Will supervise and budget for direct reports within team and programs.

Effectively complete other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required preferably in an Engineering discipline.

Minimum 10 years' of experience in the implementation of lean manufacturing tool applications in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is required.

Minimum 10 years' demonstrated ability to train people and manage cultural changes to obtain buy-in of lead/JIT manufacturing principles is required.


Six Sigma Black Belt certification required AME (Association of Manufacturing Excellence).

PREFERRED
Qualifications:

MBA or Master's degree preferred.

Minimum 10 years' of demonstrated experience implementing process improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Lean Gold Certification preferred.

Experience with Global Lean implementation preferred.

Experience communicating with manufactures suppliers and distributors.

Minimum 7 years functional management experience preferred.

Strong analytical and computer skills required using Microsoft office suite (including Visio) and project management software with the ability to track document and report operational results required.

Must have strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated success record of interacting with people at different levels including making presentations to senior staff members.
