Micron has a unique opportunity to deliver disruptive Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions into the market. We are looking for a bright and motivated AI Systems Engineer to join the team for a customer facing role. In this role you will work very closely with customers to support them in use of Micron solution, bring detailed technical feedback from the customers to the internal development teams and work with them in bringing the solution back to the customers. In this role you will be working at full solution level including hardware, software and deep learning algorithms and networks, with help from the development teams.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Responsible for customer ready solutions definition and developments, tools, collaterals and packaging to ensure customer success with PoCs and production engagements
- Work with customers to understand end use cases and how-to best map and optimize Micron solutions to meet these customer needs. Provide detailed technical requirements to internal machine learning teams on solution optimization
- Work with customers to educate them on technical details of our solutions and support integration of those in end customer solution. Be the first point of technical contact for customers with backup support from engineering teams.
- Work with customers, marketing, and technical teams to develop roadmap for customer facing technical solution needs and collaterals
- Work very closely with marketing on definition and prioritization of solution features and attributes, and impact of those decisions on customer and markets that we need to target
- Responsible for in-depth competitive analysis, benchmarking of competitive and Micron solutions. Be able to develop test automation to do this periodically.
Qualifications & Required Skills:
- MS/PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related experience.
- Either industry based or university based in depth experience with machine learning algorithms including CNNs and DNNs, and frameworks.
- Experience developing software using:
C, C++, Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Caffe or similar deep learning framework. - Good understanding of currently available solutions and industry leading performance data.
- Basic ability to work at hardware solution level, define and create reference solutions using Micron products
- Good customer facing communication skills, both at technical and non-technical level. Excellent documentation skills
- Ability to work with internal and external AI subject matter experts and ability to accurately comprehend and translate the requirements for each party
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
- Motivated and Self-starter, ability to work independently with minimal support
- Entrepreneurial aspirations. Prior startup experience in relevant domains is a plus.
